Jungian Depth Coaching: A Path Inward
Support for times of transition and the in-between places where something no longer fits, but you’re not sure what comes next.
There are times in life when the roles we’ve been living no longer fit, and old stories stop making sense. The way forward feels murky. You may feel restless, disconnected from yourself.
Sometimes this happens at obvious thresholds: stepping into adulthood, forming or leaving a partnership, becoming a parent, experiencing loss, moving through midlife, career upheaval, or facing some other major life transition or rupture.
At other times, our thresholds are not quite as visible: a private grief, a quiet ending, or an internal shift no one else can quite see. Maybe you stopped drinking. Maybe your child, though still at home, needs you less. Maybe old beliefs have simply fallen away, and you are wondering, “Who am I now?”
And then of course, there are times when nothing in your personal life is “falling apart.” But the larger world is loud, uncertain, hard to metabolize, and it’s hard to feel like your feet are on solid ground. You might be holding those, “Why do I feel so unsettled and disoriented when my own life is basically okay? What is missing?’ sort of questions.
We live in a culture that often points us outside ourselves for answers: Buy the thing. Fix the body. Take the class. Keep scrolling. Read another take. Gather more information.
We end up spending a lot of time outsourcing our inner lives, but even the most useful information can become overwhelming. At some point, you do not need one more take…. You just need some time and quiet to hear your (deepest) self think.
Jungian depth coaching moves inward and downward. Depth work is soul centered. Beneath the noise. Beneath the endless accumulation. Beneath the roles, defenses, and old stories that no longer hold. In Jungian coaching, we turn inward with patience, courage, curiosity, and a willingness to follow a path that is not all that linear.
As a Junigian coach, my intention is not to hand you answers. My intention is to help you build a more honest relationship with your own inner guidance, so you can live with more clarity, soulfulness, and rootedness in a complicated world.
(If you’re new to the idea, you can read more about what I mean by ‘depth coaching’.)
If something here feels familiar or inviting, you’re welcome to reach out. We can have a conversation about what’s going on and whether this kind of work would be a fit for you.
Client reflection
“There’s something about how you weave together the psychological and the spiritual that I find so compelling. It’s grounded, but also so very expansive. It feels like you’re inviting people into sort of a relationship with themselves, with mystery, with meaning.”
This Work Tends to Resonate When…
>> You have outgrown some part of your life, but do not yet know what comes next
>> You are trying to tell the difference between what is truly yours and what has been inherited, absorbed, or expected
>> You want to pay deeper attention to dreams, strong reactions, recurring patterns, and deeper questions
>> You want to do dream work as a way to explore your unconscious and deepen your relationship to Self
What We Do in Sessions
In our sessions, we begin with what is most alive: a conflict, a dream, a decision, a grief, a trigger, a question, or a moment that lit you up. Then we slow it down enough to look more closely.
Over time, we track recurring patterns, emotional triggers, glimmers, dreams, body-level knowings, and the questions that keep returning. We pay attention to what has charge, what gets avoided, what feels true, what feels inherited, and what may be asking to change. We follow the heat.
Sometimes we stay with a current situation in depth. Sometimes we work with a dream, an image, a piece of writing, or a guided exercise.
The aim is not just to solve the immediate problem, but to listen for the deeper invitation underneath it.
How People Work With Me
Some people come in with something specific and immediate: a breakup, grief, burnout, a family conflict, a major decision, or a life transition that needs focused attention. In those cases, we might work together in a defined container of 6–10 sessions.
Others prefer ongoing work over time. Sometimes it simply feels good to have a regular place to bring what is unfolding. Sometimes the work takes a more intentional shape through a symbolic or seasonal container, like Inanna’s Descent.
If You Feel Drawn to This Work
It’s pretty common for folks to feel both curious and unsure at first.
You do not need a perfectly formed question before reaching out. Many people begin simply with the sense that something in their life feels off, unsettled, or hard to name.
A first conversation is just that… a conversation. A place to talk a little about what is going on and see whether working together feels useful.
Client reflection
“You have a gentle and wise presence that made me feel comfortable and safe sharing really hard and vulnerable truths about my life. Because I could really let you in, I experienced so much learning and insight in a short time. I felt more peace and like I knew how to tune into my wise Self, my dreams, and the symbols that show up in everyday life.”
Working with Jen
My Jungian Depth Coaching work is shaped by my background in ceremony, and by my love of myth, poetry, seasonal rhythms, and larger stories of our lives.
Drawing from Jungian psychology, myth, and symbol, I help people listen more carefully to what is moving beneath the surface.
This work is less about optimization and more about understanding yourself more honestly. In Jungian terms, it is a part of individuation: the lifelong process of becoming more fully yourself.
This work is for folks navigating a life transition and people who want to meet their lives with more depth and truth.
